Welcome to SoftShifting Packers and Movers. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services and website. By using our services, you agree to these terms in full.

1. Service Agreement

When you book our services, you enter into a binding agreement with SoftShifting Packers and Movers. The agreement includes:

  • Service type, pickup and delivery locations, and scheduled dates
  • Agreed pricing and payment terms
  • Insurance coverage details
  • Special handling requirements

2. Booking and Cancellation

Booking Process:
  • Bookings can be made via phone, email, or our website
  • A confirmation email will be sent after booking
  • Advance payment of 20-30% may be required for confirmation
Cancellation Policy:
  • Cancellations made 48+ hours before scheduled date: Full refund of advance payment
  • Cancellations made 24-48 hours before: 50% of advance payment refunded
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours: No refund of advance payment
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional charges

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR)
  • Quotes are valid for 15 days from the date of issue
  • Final pricing may vary based on actual volume and services required
  • Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer, UPI, or card
  • Balance payment is due upon delivery or as agreed
  • Additional charges may apply for services not included in the original quote

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about items to be moved
  • Declare valuable, fragile, or hazardous items in advance
  • Ensure proper access at both pickup and delivery locations
  • Be present or have an authorized representative during pickup and delivery
  • Remove perishable items, plants, and prohibited materials
  • Disconnect and prepare appliances for moving
  • Secure necessary parking permissions if required

5. Company Responsibilities

  • Provide trained and professional staff
  • Use appropriate packing materials and equipment
  • Handle belongings with reasonable care
  • Deliver items within the agreed timeline
  • Provide insurance coverage as per agreement
  • Address customer concerns promptly

6. Liability and Insurance

Standard Coverage:

  • Basic transit insurance is included in our standard service
  • Coverage is limited to ₹10,000 per item unless declared otherwise
  • Comprehensive insurance is available at additional cost

Limitations:

  • We are not liable for damages resulting from improper packing by the customer
  • Acts of God, riots, strikes, or natural disasters are not covered
  • Perishable items, plants, pets, and hazardous materials are not covered
  • Items not declared or improperly valued are not eligible for compensation
  • Normal wear and tear is not considered damage

7. Claims and Disputes

  • Damage or loss must be reported within 7 days of delivery
  • Claims must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation
  • We will investigate all claims within 15 business days
  • Compensation is based on depreciated value, not replacement cost
  • Disputes will be settled through arbitration in New Delhi jurisdiction

8. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited from transportation:

  • Firearms, ammunition, and explosives
  • Flammable materials and chemicals
  • Illegal drugs and contraband
  • Perishable food items
  • Live plants and pets
  • Important documents (passports, certificates) - carry personally
  • Cash, jewelry, and precious metals - carry personally or use separate courier

9. Delays and Force Majeure

We strive for timely delivery but cannot be held liable for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions, natural disasters, or acts of God
  • Traffic congestion, road closures, or accidents
  • Government restrictions or regulatory issues
  • Vehicle breakdown (we will arrange alternative transport)
  • Strikes, riots, or civil unrest

10. Privacy and Data Protection

  • We respect your privacy and protect your personal information
  • Data is used only for service delivery and communication
  • We do not share customer information with third parties without consent

11. Modifications to Terms

SoftShifting reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
